About Me
Hi, I'm Sophie

I am a fully qualified COSRT registered relationship therapist and a trainee psychosexual therapist with the Institute of Psychosexual Psychotherapy. I work with individuals and partners who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships or intimate lives, whether that's a breakdown in communication, a loss of trust, infidelity, or repeating patterns of behaviour. My aim is to offer a supportive, honest space where you and your partner/s can work through things openly.
I'll listen carefully to what you bring to the session before deciding on the approach that feels right for you. I tend to work in the present day and focus on what feels most pressing, though I also find that looking back at past experiences can help make sense of why we think and behave the way we do.
I work in a warm, dynamic way. I'll ask questions and gently challenge where it feels useful, but always in a way that feels safe and supportive. I create a space where everyone feels heard. I look at the dynamics at play and try to understand what is keeping the relationship stuck, rather than pointing fingers.
